SOS Med Stays is a new service from Power Rangers Ltd (CRO 746631, Drogheda, Co. Louth), the Irish company behind Sos Stays — a short-term rental and guest-accommodation business. We know how to run a good stay. SOS Med Stays applies that, deliberately, to people travelling for orthopaedic treatment.
Why we exist
Public knee and hip replacement in Ireland currently involves a long wait. Some people choose to pay privately and travel for treatment rather than wait. SOS Med Stays doesn't arrange that treatment — Aster Medcity does, under your own direct contract with them. What we do is the part that's often badly handled elsewhere: the accommodation, the logistics, and the actual experience of recovering somewhere unfamiliar, with someone you trust to get the practical details right.
How we try to work
Honest, not salesy
We say plainly what we do and don't do, what's covered and what isn't, and we don't dress up a wait-time problem as an emergency.
Clear about the line
Clinical decisions sit with Aster Medcity and your surgeon. We never imply otherwise, however it might read more reassuringly.
Unhurried
Recovery takes the time it takes. We build the stay around that, not around a schedule that suits us better.
